Pam came to InteriorCrowd with a redesign project for her multi-purpose room. “I noted that this is a “living room,” but I’m actually not sure what to call it,” she wrote in her intake form, “because we have a kitchen/family room area where we spend most of our time. This is our front room, kind of like a foyer, but much larger, so I would like it to be pretty.” Pam also works from home, so she needed the room to be able to function as an office, as well as a playroom for her toddler because it’s “sunny and pleasant”. One of the main things that Pam was looking for was storage solutions – perhaps some kind of day bed.
With that, she informed our designers of her color preferences (yellow, orange, blues, and greens), and what she would rather stay away from (pinks, black, and grey), and uploaded a few photos for inspiration:
After going through the five submissions from designers, Pam chose Imani as her designer.
The two worked together for two weeks, going back and forth on the InteriorCrowd platform about different products and floor plans that would brighten up and increase storage in Pam’s front room. They talked about where to splurge (on the desk) and where to save (on storage and accessories, like cushions and rugs). Finally, Imani submitted her final designs to Pam, and together they turned this space…
Into this bright, colorful workspace!
