If you’re hosting Christmas dinner at your home, you might be overwhelmed with a long to-do list to prepare for your guests. Decorating for your table might fall to the bottom of the list. However, you easily create a wonderful aesthetic for your table with items that you might already have available at your home. Just remember – your table doesn’t have to be too elaborate in order to create an effective look.
Here are some quick tips:
It might even be as simple as looking in your backyard for interesting leaves or branches that you can place in vases. Even dead greenery can be given new life by being spray-painted gold and create a nice aesthetic. If there’s a way to hang a branch above the table, a dramatic look can be created immediately. You can also pull together a simple wildflower bouquet from your backyard.
Almost every grocery store will be have full stock of decorative gourds and pumpkins. Just pick up a few and scatter them on the table. If you have time for a little DIY project, you can even make the gourds and pumpkins into candle holders.
It’s very easy to create a nice place setting with foraged items, such as sprigs of pine from your tree, or even rosemary or lavender that you might already have at your home up at home. For a rustic look, just grab some twine to tie around the napkins and set on each guest’s plate.
